of classical concert repertoire, hymns, popular songs, and
unique improvisation on classical guitar.
SHORT BIO:
David Michael Cray graduated high school & college from UNCSA & attended Berklee College of Music & Brevard College. He studied privately Aaron Shearer who had the most competition winner students in the world, w/a Segovia student(Gerald Klickstein), w/a “Ted” award winner(Roger Cope), & w/Larry Almeida(UNCSA) and Robert Calmes. David also performed in masterclasses with many top performers & teachers in the world including 5 Grammy award-winners and many competition winners. He performs solo classical guitar pieces from every musical period including hymns, Broadway tunes, popular songs, & unique finger-style improvisation. He performed with the Winston-Salem Symphony 2x’s in 1994 & has performed concerts over 1200 times since 1990. His first album “Little Miracles” came out Nov.30th, 2018 & "Dying To Live" came out December 2023. Dying to Live is for sale at https://davidmichaelcray.bandcamp.com and "Little Miracles" is available for free there. His poetry was published in the International Library of Poetry’s “Best Poems & Poets of 2007” & a few other coffee table books.
